The Delta Delta Chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity participates in various community service projects throughout the year and during the summer. Logging several thousand community service hours a year is not uncommon for the brothers of the Delta Delta Chapter.
The brotherhood participates in the cleaning up of Fourth Fest, as well as Greek Sweep and the Homecoming Day of Service, all of which are initiatives taken to help clean up State College. The brothers also participate in hosting blood drives for the American Red Cross Blood Cup in which Penn State competes against Michigan State to see who can donate the most blood. Sigma Nu has helped Penn State defeat Michigan State the last two years. The chapter also participated in the State Service Day, which promoted community service on the same day as State Patty’s Day. In the fall semester the house partook in Greek-or-Treat and the Holiday Lights Tour, two community outreach events aimed at connecting Greeks with the State College community.
Apart from hosting philanthropies, the brothers of the Delta Delta Chapter participate in and support various philanthropies run by other Greek organizations such as the Zeta Spikes, Volleyball Tournament, Delta Gamma Anchor Splash, and the Theta Chi K.I.C.K.S Soccer Tournament.
