Sigma Nu Penn State is a Chapter with a rich history spanning over 100 years. Our 80 members are campus leaders that excel in academics, athletics, community service, and outside involvement on campus. We have a diverse Brotherhood hailing from across the country, from State College to Texas. We are a social Fraternity that is proud to be a member of Penn State’s Greek community. Our Brotherhood calls 340 North Burrowes Street our home – we welcome prospective members to stop by at any time to get to know the Brotehrhood or take a tour of the house.
Nationally, Sigma Nu was founded in 1869 by three cadets at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. The Fraternity’s values are summarized as an adherence to the principles of brotherly Love, Truth, and Honor. Because of its military heritage, Sigma Nu retains many military trappings in its chapter ranks and traditions, and places much importance on the concept of personal honor. Today, Sigma Nu honors its founders’ integrity as the basis of its strictly enforced ban on hazing.
Our Chapter’s website includes sections for prospective members of our chapter, alumni brothers of Sigma Nu, and for parents of our current and future brothers. If you do not find the information you are looking for then please let us know. We are happy to help you find the information you seek. As well as these special areas for these groups, we have across-the-board sections on service, intramurals, brotherhood, events, and almost anything going on with the chapter. We love to meet and reconnect with alumni and are always looking for men of honor to join our ranks. Once again, welcome to our home on the web! We hope to see you back often!
Fraternally,
Cameron Jay Sabatini, ΔΔ 1534
